UC San Francisco Student-Initiated Programs (SIP)

SIP introduces San Francisco Bay Area K–12 students to the possibilities of higher education as well as to studies and careers in the health sciences. Open to all K-12 students, including those interested in learning more about college, SIP offers academic enrichment and personalized mentoring from UC professional students to help participants build skills, gain confidence, and prepare for success in their academic journey. Funded by the UC Office of the President, SIP is an initiative designed to support UCSF registered campus organizations organize outreach activities and events targeting these students.

About the SIP Grant

UCSF registered campus organizations can apply for a SIP grant for their organization's outreach program or event. Outreach events should aim to introduce K-12 students to the college experience, the possibilities of higher education, and promote a college-going culture. If your organization would like to apply, please submit your application at least three weeks in advance of your event to ensure ample time for our review and processing.
