Explore a future in health and medicine with UCSF's PITCH Program!

The Program for the Investigation and Training in Careers in Health (PITCH) is an immersive three-week summer program designed to inspire and empower first-generation and low-income students interested in exploring health and medical sciences careers. Through hands-on learning and mentorship, PITCH participants will:

  • Discover the healthcare landscape: Explore connections across health and medicine to gain a deeper understanding of the field.
  • Collaborate with UCSF mentors: to investigate critical health issues and present their findings at the PITCH Health Symposium.
  • Prepare for college success: Receive expert guidance on navigating postsecondary options and planning for your future.

  • Dates: Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 24, 2026
  • Location: UCSF campuses (San Francisco, CA)

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (UC/CSU GPA)
  • Rising 10th and 11th graders (class of ā€˜28 & ā€˜29)
